Sideshow Festival is excited to present Block Party to the local Sydney masses.
This time we’re substituting the fairy bread, a cheeky pav’, and the lukewarm tinnys with the likes of stenchy guitars and rhymes that our neighbours will be hearing for miles.
We are honoured to be joined by some of Sydney’s finest: the hearty roars of Dan Romeo, the flavoured flows of rapper Dobby, and rockers Particles.
Influenced by Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Smashing Pumpkins, and The Beatles, Daniel Romeo's songs tell stories of his travels, of love, loss, depression, and suicide. There is a real honesty to the lyrics that comes alive through Daniel’s raw vocal.
Dobby Rhyan Clapham is an Indigenous and Filipino hip hop musician, rapper and drummer under the rap pseudonym DOBBY. Rhyan aims to educate through music and bring Aboriginal culture and identity to the forefront
Particles are a two-piece rock outfit, formed in Sydney, Australia in 2016. Comprising of Dan D’Arcy and Skarlett Saramore. The band's sound is reminiscent of, and rooted in modern experimental modern rock, grunge and hard rock.
