Canadian born singer songwriter Garrett Kato is a quiet achiever, a constant creator of works and a hard working live performer. Kato landed in Australia in 2010 with a bag of clothes and guitar in hand. He quickly began playing as much as possible in the town of Byron Bay. Kato and became a house hold name among the towns music scene.
Two years in the garage of his Byron Bay home, Kato began crafting what would be “That Low and Lonesome Sound”. Most of the record was recorded and played by Kato himself. Prior to the release Kato signed a publishing deal with Sony ATV.
“Sweet Jane” was recently featured in the Hollywood Motion Picture “Bad Moms” and racked up over 200,000 Spotify plays in three weeks.
Kato is about to embark on run of solo dates throughout November. Particularly intimate venues have been selected to create the most beautiful atmosphere possible with limited runs of tickets".
